Jay Erickson

Jay M. Erickson, 55, Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday February 10, 2017 at Jamestown.

Jay was born July 13, 1961 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Carl and Violet (Jibbens) Erickson. He attended elementary school in Ypsilanti and later at Jamestown, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1979. Jay worked for Interstate Engineers in Jamestown as a surveyor for many years.

He and Barb Schmoker were married September 25, 1995 at Jamestown, ND. They lived in Ypsilanti where he worked for One Call Locating Company. He moved back to Jamestown where he worked for numerous construction companies as a flag person.

Jay enjoyed spending time with Mandy and Kendra. He also belonged to the Jamestown Men’s Pool Association having played for many area teams. He also enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons in his younger years.

He is survived by his daughter Amanda, Jamestown, ND; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Calvin (Mary) Erickson, Fargo, ND; Rick Erickson, and Julie (Kurt) Anderson, all of Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother James.
