Jane Dakota

Jane Henke, 86, Jamestown, ND, formerly of Streeter, ND died Tuesday afternoon April 4, 2017 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Jane Flaig was born April 2, 1930, northeast of Alfred, ND the daughter of John and Elsie (Holwig) Flaig. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Wilfred Henke were married October 2, 1950 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on a farm Northeast Streeter, ND. In 2006 they moved to Jamestown where they have resided.

She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND. She loved living on the farm, gardening and canning. She also loved cattle and many animals, especially her dogs and cats.

Surviving are her husband, Wilfred, Jamestown, her children, Gloria Liebold, Jamestown, ND, Harlan (Susie) Henke, Streeter, ND, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 sister Deloris (Jerry) Walsh, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Lloyd, Norman, Harry, 2 sister, Velma and Irene.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 PM Saturday April 8, 2017 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND with Pastor Hazel Behrens, officiating.

Interment will be made in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND

Visitation – 9-7 Friday April 7, 2017 at the Funeral home, Jamestown, ND
