Obituary

Glen Henry Hinger, 73, Jamestown, ND passed away on October 8, 2013 in Jamestown, ND.

He was born in Woodworth, ND on January 15, 1940 to Henry and Helen (Dekrey) Hinger. He attended school at Pettibone, graduating in 1958.

He worked for the Boeing Company for a year when he joined the military and served in the US Air Force from 1959 to 1962. After receiving an honorable discharge he attended college at the University of North Dakota and finished with a BS degree in Accounting at Moorhead State University with honors.

He was employed at Dakota Bake and Serve from 1963 to 1982. He later became employed at Alpha Opportunity until he retired in 2005.

He married Norma Wagner in 1984 in Billings, MT. He was an avid reader sometimes reading a book a day. Glen loved to hunt waterfowl and was a fantastic shot when he wasn't sleeping in the blind or smoking a cigarette. He loved to work in his yard and was very handy.

While he never had any children of his own he had 4 grandchildren that were very dear to him.

He is survived by his wife Norma, 2 step children Randy (Deb) Wagner, Esko, MN and Robyn (Steve Mowry) Welch, Moorhead, MN, and 4 grandchildren, Libby Welch, Fargo, ND, Alsie (Josh)Nelson, Robbinsdale, MN, Paul Welch, Fargo, ND and Amie Wagner (Joe Wetzel), New Hope, MN, his sister Carol (Richard) Schafer of Missoula Montana. He had one very special great grandchild, Grayson Nelson.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service - 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
