Obituary

Duane Yetterboe, 78, Jamestown, ND died Friday, April 28, 2023 at SMP Health-Ave Maria in Jamestown.

Duane was born July 3, 1944 at Jamestown the son of Philip and Ethel (Huebner) Yetterboe. He grew up in Jamestown area, graduating from Jamestown High School. He joined the Air Force in October of 1962; he served active duty for 4 years and was honorably discharged in August of 1966 and then served 2 years in the reserves.  He was also active in the Guards for 27 years, retiring in 2004.  

He and Judy Anderson were married November 14, 1970 at Jamestown where they made their home.  Throughout his life Duane worked at a lumber yard, White Drug and then County Market until he retired in 2006.  Following retirement, he worked part-time for the Jamestown Park Board.

He was an avid bowler for over 30 years; enjoyed playing pinochle and watching sports.  He was a member of the All-Vet’s Club in Jamestown.  

Duane is survived by his wife, Judy; 2 children, Trevor (Katie) Yetterboe, Washburn, ND; Tammy (Chad) Dahme, Bismarck, ND;  7 grandchildren, Lexi, Tyler, Kya, Jake, Ebby, Tyler, Brookelynn; and 3 siblings, Sharon (James) Hatlewick, Jamestown; Shirley (Johnnie) Gorthy, Minot, ND and Linda (Marvin) Schaunaman, Indianapolis, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
