Dorothy Otto

Dorothy Otto, 92, Devils Lake, ND died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake.

Dorothy Geohring was born May 30, 1928 at Gackle, ND the daughter of Adam and Hulda (Scheid) Geohring.  She grew to womanhood in the area, attending school in Gackle.

She and Reinhold Otto were married October 29, 1947 at Gackle, ND.  They made their home in Gackle until 1953 when they moved to Napoleon and then Medina in 1955.  She was a stay at home mom until 1968 when she started working for the Medina School which she continued for 25 years.  She moved to Devils Lake in 2011 to be closer to her husband, where she continued to reside.

She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, yard work, coffee with friends and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Ronald (Sharon), Mandan, ND; Raymond (Jessie), Mesa, AZ; Richard (Cathy), Devils Lake, ND; Les (Rene), Wishek, ND; Lonnie (Sheila), Devils Lake, ND; 13 grandchildren, Carla, Heidi, Jessie, Rae Ann, Ryan, Casey, Samantha, Adam, Austin, Krystyna, Matthew, Danielle, Ashley; 19 great grandchildren, Berlyn, Madelyn, Carson, Devon, Alec, Allyson-Tyne, Ace, Taylor, Jasen, Jaxon, Michael, Henry, Keaira, Raelynn, Aiden, Riley, Freyja, Sophia and Reece.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents.
