Dorothy Mittleider, 79, Jamestown, ND died Friday October 3, 2014 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Dorothy Harr was born January 26, 1935 at Cleveland, ND, the daughter of Henry Harr and Lydia (Schmierer) Harr. She received her education at the Cleveland school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity. She worked as a Nanny in the Cleveland area for a time.

She and Harold Mittleider were married December 11, 1953. They made their home in Tappen, ND where she was a housewife and mother. In 1955 they moved to Eldridge, ND for a year and then back to Tappen until 1969 when the moved to Crystal Springs, ND. In 1974 they moved to Jamestown, ND where they have resided.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND. She also was a Sunday school teacher

She is survived by her husband, Harold Mittleider, Jamestown, ND; 3 sons, Bruce (Laura) Mittleider, Menahga, MN; Eugene (Barb) Mittleider; Jamestown, ND; Kelly Mittleider; Jamestown, ND; 1 daughter, Donna (Greg) Earnest, Jamestown, ND; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Roger (LaVerne) Harr; Dale (Cora) Harr; Ronald (Judy) Harr, all of Jamestown, ND and 1 sister, Betty (Wayne) Gorman, Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and sister in infancy.

Funeral service: 1:00PM Wednesday October 8, 2014 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Arlyn Coalter, officiating.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND

Visitation: 9-8 Tuesday at the funeral home and family will call on friends from
6-8.
