Obituary

Annette Carolyn Martel, 76, Mayville, ND died early Thursday morning August 11, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Annette Ambers was born June 15, 1940 at Maddock, ND the daughter of Arnold and Alice Ambers. She attended country school through 8th grade then high school at Benson County Agricultural and Training School, graduating in 1958.

She and Harold Martel were married November 15, 1958 at Fargo, ND. They had two sons, Steven and Mitchell. Annette and her family lived in multiple communities in North Dakota including Medina, Fessenden, Finley, Sharon, and Mayville. Her primary job was a stay at home mom, however she did do daycare, contract cleaning, and clerking. Throughout her years Annette enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, gardening, and watching Fox News.

Annette and Harold celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2008. Harold passed away in 2009. Annette leaves behind 2 sons Steven (Lori), Green Valley, AZ and Mitchell (Dionna), Fargo, ND; grandchildren Brett Martel (Courtney Schmidt), Jared(Samantha), Travis and Marissa Martel; great-grandchildren Kensley Schmidt and soon to be Devyn Martel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, parents, 2 brothers, Sidney and Myron, and 3 sisters Marion, Ardis, and Fernie.

Graveside Service- 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Medina Cemetery in Medina, ND with Pastor Dwight Stensgaard officiating

Visitation- 9-7 Tuesday, August 16 at the funeral home with family welcoming friends from 5-7
