Annetta Burkle, 93, Wishek, ND formerly of the Gackle, ND community died Saturday January 9, 2016 at the Wishek Living Center in Wishek, ND.
Annetta Rudolph was born January 20, 1922 at rural Fredonia, ND, the daughter of Fred and Ottilia (Schlecht) Rudolph. She attended school at Fredonia and Kulm graduating from the Kulm High School in 1940. She then attended college at Bismarck and Ellendale.
She and Roland Burkle were married October 14, 1945 in Seattle, WA aboard the USS Langfitt. They made their home on a farm south of Gackle where they have farmed. She taught school for 10 years in the Fredonia and Wishek areas. Following the death of her husband on July 28, 2000 she continued to reside on the farm until moving into the Gackle Care Center. In August 2014 she entered the Wishek Living Center in Wishek, ND.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Vernon (Dona) Burkle, Clancy, MT; DeLynn Burkle, Moorhead, MN; Jonathan (Twila) Burkle, Fredonia, ND; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Darwin (Arlene) Rudolph, Gackle, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Chan in 1964, 1 child in infancy, 1 sister Alvina, 1 brother, Arne and 1 sibling in infancy.
