Bernetta Jane Schultz, 80, Jamestown, ND died Saturday August 22, 2020 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.
Bernetta Schauer was born June 20, 1940 at Napoleon, ND, the daughter of Bert and Ada (Schuchard) Schauer. She attended school at Napoleon and graduated from Napoleon High School. She attended college for a short time.
She and Jerome Schultz were married October 16, 1957 in Detroit Lakes, MN. They made their home in Rapid City, SD. They moved to Jamestown where she worked at Mac’s Restaurant. She then became manager at Big Jim’s for many years. She later went to work at the Gladstone until retiring. Following the death of her husband April 24, 2019, she continued to reside in Jamestown.
Bernetta enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She made them all feel special in their own way. In her later years she dedicated herself as a caregiver of all family members in need.
Bernetta enjoyed and took pride in her flowers. She was an avid antique collector and always said she was born in the wrong era. She was always in search of elegant glassware and dishes. Holidays were a favorite time of bringing family together; she added her very own special touch that will always be remembered.
Bernetta also loved music. She enjoyed listening to her grandchildren play. She loved going to Lori Line concerts. Years back she also loved going to concerts with her special friend Julie. Bernetta also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brothers; she will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her 4 children, Roxanne (Garrie) Dallmann, Bismarck, ND; Jeffery Schultz, Emmett, ID; Michael Schultz, Jamestown, ND; Gina (Mike) Gilbertson, Jamestown, ND; 1 daughter -in-law, Melinda Schultz, Bismarck, ND; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 brothers and 5 sisters, Bob (Donna) Schauer, Bismarck, ND; Tom (Sandy) Schauer, Fargo, ND; Charles (Terry) Schauer, Sioux Falls, SD; Bert (Diana) Schauer, Mapleton, IA; Jerry Schauer, Mandan, ND; Arby Wolff, Miles City, MT; Lorraine Wolff, Superior, WI; Kathy (Don) Weaver, Skiatook, OK; Linda (Curt) Michaelsohn, Wishek, ND; and Cindy (George) Bates, Hedgefield, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, Keith, and 2 sisters, Bonnie and Marjie.
