Wayne Burkle, 59, Fredonia, North Dakota died Monday February 14, 2005 at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND.

Wayne Burkle was born October 11, 1945 in Kulm, ND, the son of Raymond Burkle and Alvina (Rudolph) Burkle. He attended a country school in Logan County and in Fredonia where he grew to manhood and he helped on the family farm. He graduated from the Gackle High School in 1964.

He and Diana Job were married on August 27, 1967 in Linton, ND. They made their home on a farm near Fredonia, and are still farming northwest of Fredonia.

He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND where he was raised and confirmed. His confirmation sponsors were LaVina and the late Victor Burkle. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Gackle, ND. He enjoyed Darts, Car Shows, wood working and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Diana, Fredonia, ND; his children; Cherie (Daren) Graber, Fredonia, ND; Sandi (Rick) Himmelspach, Mandan, ND; Kacey Kuntz, Maineville, OH; 7 grandchildren; Tara Graber, Jesse Graber, Logen Himmelspach, Carter Himmelspach, Grant Himmelspach, Brady Kuntz and Mercedes Kuntz; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Thelma Burkle, Jamestown, ND; 1 brother, Glenn (Joan) Burkle, West Fargo, ND, and 1 sister, Debora (Dale) Holmstrom, Gackle, ND.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alvina and his grandparents.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday February 17, 2005 at the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle, North Dakota with Rev. Tim Blackman, officiating pastor

Interment will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery in Fredonia, ND

Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Gackle, ND
