Timothy Robert Hazelton, 69, of Jamestown ND peacefully passed away in his sleep at home in the early morning of March 29, 2024.
Tim was born April 14, 1954, to Robert and Christine (Lantz) Hazelton in Ellendale, ND. He was raised and enjoyed life as a small-town boy in Edgeley, ND, where he learned early on to work hard and get the job done. He did carpentry for years with training from his father and grandfather, Lyndon.
Tim has always been a sports enthusiast, enjoying slow pitch as well as fast pitch softball, bowling and golf. Many friends were gained during his participating years. He always found time to have fun and his sense of humor was never understood by his wife but certainly enjoyed by many. Tim enjoyed all aspects of deer hunting and especially enjoyed the sausage making with friends. He was definitely better at hunting than fishing.
Surviving Tim is his wife, Elaine, children Colin (Kristi) and Justin (Annette) born to him and Rachael in a prior marriage, stepson Nathan Quick and siblings Janet (Dennis Wilhelm), Renee and Robin. He was graced with the privilege of grandchildren Justice, Jaidyn, Maison, Hallee, Ty, Parker, Zach and MacKenzie. In addition, he had nephews Andy and Joe and niece Jennifer. He was preceded in death by both parents.
Tim has always enjoyed the simple life and didn’t require a lot to bring him happiness. Who would have guessed in his later years that his heart went to the dogs, lastly Bella and Koda, the yard barkers. How many hours per day were shared curled up with a blanket in the recliner.
May the memory of Tim’s quiet yet wonderful life continue to inspire us to embrace simplicity, kindness and the beauty that can be found in the moments we often overlook. May he rest in peace surrounded by the serenity he cherished.
Grave site services will take place at the Dazey Cemetery, Dazey, ND at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 06, 2024. Lunch will be served immediately following at the Dazey Community Hall. We encourage you to come with a smile and remember the good ole days.
Tears can heal, memories can comfort and love lives on forever.
