Richard Kutz, 77, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday morning July 30, 2019 at River View Place in Fargo, ND.

Richard was born July 26, 1942 at Carrington, ND, the son Richard Sr. and Opal Simonson. He grew up on a small farm south of Sykeston, ND.  They moved to Minnesota where he started school. Later they moved to Pingree/Woodworth area where he completed his elementary education.

He and Lenora Mack were married October 17, 1961.  Richard worked for farmers in the Carrington/Pingree area.  He moved his family to Windsor, ND, there he worked for Standard Oil as a truck driver.  Over the years they moved to Buchanan and Spiritwood, ND.   Richard completed his working years doing construction as a rock crusher, after 22 years he retired at the age of 67.  They moved to Casselton, ND, where they were members of St. Leo Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Basilica of St. James, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Local Union 49er’s. Richard enjoyed fishing and gardening.  He especially loved his tiger lillys, he also grew Plum and Pear trees.

Richard is survived by Lenora, their 9 children, Wanda (Jeff) Blaskowski, LeAnn (Scott) Sund, Mae (Mike) Samek, Cindy (Brian) Hanson, Angel (Shane) Paasch, Tiki (Don) Ulrich, Kibi (Heidi) Kutz, Niki (Amy) Kutz, Angie (Matt) Holmgren; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 brother, James (Shirley) Kutz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Marvis McCleary.

Mass of Christian Burial - 10:00 AM Monday August 5, 2019 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, ND

Burial - Carrington Cemetery, Carrington
