Lowell Swan 75, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday morning January 30, 2005 at the Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown, ND.

Lowell Swan was born April 6, 1929 at Minneapolis, MN, the son of John Swan and Agnes (Hammarbeck) Swan. He attended the local school and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. He entered the Naval Air Reserve and served from 1948 to 1956. He married Arlene Johnson in 1952 at Minneapolis, MN. In 1953 they moved to Riverside California where he was employed with AT & T and Sears.

He and Hazel Brostrom were married July 8, 1967 at Minneapolis, MN. They made their home in Minneapolis where he worked for J.C. Penneys. In 1968 Lowell and Hazel moved to Chicago where Lowell continued to work for J.C. Penneys. In 1973 they returned to Minneapolis where Lowell continued at Penneys. In 1976 they moved
to Jamestown where they opened, owned and operated the Napa Auto Parts store for 11 years. He then worked at TSC, and Schuberts before fully retiring in 2002.

He was a member of the Eagles Aries #2337 for over 25 years, Jamestown Elks # 995, Shriner for 48 years, Jamestown Clowns and was a member of the Jamestown Chorlaires for 15 years.
Lowell enjoyed singing, skiing, fishing, camping, old cars and bingo.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel, Jamestown, ND, 1 son John, Fayetteville, NC, 1 step son, Darrel (Barbara) Brostrom, Orlando, FL, 1 grandson, Andrew, 1 sister, Villary Sward, Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Lawrence.

Funeral service - 2:00 P.M. Friday February 4, 2005 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Doug Opp, officiating pastor

Interment will be made in Memory Gardens, Valley City, ND

Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND
