Lida Fischer, 91, Streeter, ND, died Friday April 29, 2011 at the Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.

Lida Hehn was born May 15, 1919 at Omemee, ND, the daughter of Edward Hehn and Elizabeth (Remboldt) Hehn. She moved with her parents to a farm near Gackle, ND and received her elementary education.

She and Walter Fischer were married April 28, 1937 at his parent's farm east of Streeter, ND. They made their home on the family farm until 1952 when they moved to Everett, WA. In 1956 they moved back to Streeter and in 1959 they moved into Jamestown where she was a nurse's aid at the Jamestown Hospital. They move back to Streeter in 1974.
Following the death of her husband on January 17, 1978, she continued to reside in Streeter until entering the Eventide at Hi-Acres in February of 2007.

She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Group, and was active in Sunday School. She also was a member of the Homemakers Group and the Streeter Sr. Center in Streeter, ND.

Lida is survived by her 3 daughters, Delight (ElRay) Fercho, Streeter, ND; Charlotte (Robert) Mountain, Jamestown, ND; Sheila (Milt) Rea, Forest Lake, MN; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 sister-in-laws, Eldina Hehn, Jamestown, ND; and Lydia Fischer, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday May 7, 2011 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church at Streeter, ND with Pastor Darwin Kopfmann, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Gackle Cemetery at Gackle, ND.

Visitation - 9-5 Friday at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.
