Leon Hoggarth

Leon Hoggarth, 79, Jamestown, ND died peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home in Jamestown.

Leon was born August 3, 1943 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Edna (Larson) and Joseph Hoggarth.  Leon grew up and graduated from Kensal High School in 1961. 

He later went on to Southwestern Technical College in Pipestone, Minnesota for 2 years to specialize in meat cutting and sausage making.  He worked in that profession for over 30 years and made it his career.

He enjoyed quality time with his family and pet Beagle, Penny, going fishing, watching westerns on TV, and spending time in his garage making sausage and brats for his family and friends.

Leon is survived by his love, Lila (Fischer), Jamestown, ND; son, Joseph (Kristen) Hoggarth, Jamestown, ND; 2 stepchildren, Jason Fischer, Fargo, ND and Jennifer (Dan) Young, Casselton, ND; 2 step grandchildren, Alexis and Mason Young; son, Torey Joe (Cheryl) Hoggarth, Fargo, ND, their children, Erica, Victoria, Marisa (Brian) Freeman, Watertown, SD and Marisa’s children, Cody and Tucker; son, Culley (Nikole) Hoggarth, Carrington, ND, their sons, Tyler, Trevor, Tate and Trace, step grandchildren, Jake, Tessa, Lexius and Bryar; son, Justin (Jackie) Hoggarth, Wishek, ND, their children, Kameron (Victoria) Hoggarth, their son, Thomas Richard, and Justin’s daughter Katelynn (Jesse) Weber and their daughter Sophia Noel;  1 brother, Craig (Bonnie) Hoggarth, Kensal, ND; and 2 sisters, Ferne (Don) Sherlock, Peoria, AZ and Norma (Bruce) Evans, Columbus Heights, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Claudia Hoggarth, Constance and her husband Leland Nogosek and Nicole and her husband Allen Keisacker; 1 grandson Kullon Lee Hoggarth.
