Kenneth Robert Dockter, 68, Mandan, ND passed away Monday afternoon August 13, 2018 at Sanford in Bismarck, ND, on his granddaughter Eliahna’s 2nd birthday.
Bobby was born January 26, 1950 at the family farm home NW of Streeter, ND, the son of Rudolph and Esther Dockter. He attended Streeter Public School where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the area while helping on the family farm.
He and Florence Schatz were married October 5, 1975 at Medina, ND. They made their home in Medina where he worked for Knetter Cheese. He also helped on the various farms and also worked for Gene Mayer. In 2004 he moved to Jamestown where he retired. In 2009 he moved to Dickinson until moving to Mandan in February of 2018.
He was a member of the St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter. He enjoyed Demolition Derbys, NASCAR, all Star Wrestling, Old Time Country Music and old western shows.
He is survived by his wife Florence Dockter, Dickinson, ND, 5 children, Robert Dockter, Jamestown, ND; Kimberly (Wyman) Gray, Mandan, ND; Victoria Dockter, Denver, CO; Rosie Dockter, Mandan, ND; Jon (Alyssa) Dockter, Dickinson, ND; 8 granddaughters, Tori, Kylie and Ivey Gray, Jasmine, Janessa, Jesse, Mia Rayne, and Eliahna Grace Dockter, and baby Emma Dockter on the way; 4 brothers and 2 sisters, Lenard (Betty) Dockter, Abilene, TX; Darrel (Marge) Dockter, Medina, ND; James (Tudy) Dockter, Bismarck, ND; Judy Eder, Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Mark (Kathy) Dockter, Streeter, ND; Dottie Dockter- Elhard (Kent), Cleveland, ND; 1 sister-in-law, Debbie Dockter, Clarkston, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Reo and Paul, and his father and mother-in-law, John and Emma Schatz.
