Ida Kalmbach, 85, Jud, North Dakota died Tuesday March 8, 2005 in Jamestown, ND

Ida Ehmann was born June 21, 1919 in Alfred, ND, the daughter of Daniel Ehmann and Christina (Bauman) Ehmann. She received her elementary education at the Alfred School in Alfred, ND. She helped on the family farm and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Henry Kalmbach were married June 21, 1938 at LaMoure, ND. They made their home 6 miles southwest of Jud where they farmed. In 1974 they retired but remained on the farm. After the death of her husband, October16, 1987, she remained on the farm. In the fall of 1989 she moved to Jud and in 2004 she moved to the Gackle Care Center until she entered Central Dakota Village in Jamestown, ND.

She was a member of the Jud United Methodist Church in Jud, ND.
She was also a member of the Choir, Sunday School Teacher, served on various boards in the Church, member of the Jud Development Corp. and Raney Township tax assessor.

She is survived by her daughters, Gladys Jahn, Jud, ND; Sharon (Melvin) Kleingartner, Princeton, MN; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 brother Harry (Emma) Ehmann, Gackle, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 brothers, 2 sisters

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday at the Jud United Methodist Church in Jud, ND with Rev. Rodney Ulmer, pastor officiating.

The interment will be at the Alfred Cemetery in Alfred, ND
Visitation; 9-5 Thursday and 9-9 Friday at the Funeral home in Jamestown and 1 hour before services at the Church.
Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND
