Hilda Hehr, 93, Edgeley, ND died Friday morning January 14, 2005 at the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, ND

Hilda Tiede was born March 31, 1911 at Fredonia, ND, the daughter of Johann Tiede and Katherina (Ziegler) Tiede. She received her elementary education at the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.

She and Alvin Hehr were married June 18, 1939 at Kulm, ND. They made their home on his parent's farm for 2 years and then moved to a farm NE of Edgeley, ND. Following the death of her husband January 6, 1995, she continued to reside at the farm. In the fall of 1995 she moved into Edgeley and in 1998 she moved to Coon Rapids, MN to live with her daughter. In 2000 she moved into the St. Joseph Manor at Edgeley and in 2003 she moved into the St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, and has resided there since.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Edgeley, ND.

She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor (Leon) Bender, Minneapolis, MN, 3 grandchildren, their spouses and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

The funeral service is at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday January 19, 2005 at the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND with Rev. Russell Whaley, officiating pastor.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND
