Harlan Pelz, 79, Jamestown, ND died early Tuesday morning May 24, 2016 at Eventide in Jamestown, ND.

Harlan Pelz was born August 13, 1936 at Redwood Falls, MN, the son of Harold Pelz and Victoria (Luck) Pelz. He received his elementary education in the local school at Dickey, ND. He entered the United States Army Dec. 2, 1954 at Fargo, ND.

He served in Korea and Germany and was discharged November 21, 1956 at Fort Sheridan, IL with the rank of PFC. Harlan had the gift to ‘gab' so his career as a salesman at various car and implement dealerships during his lifetime was the perfect job for him.
He and DeLoris Stelzer were married in August of 1982 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where he continued in sales. He retired from Central Sales in Jamestown, ND and has continued to reside in Jamestown. He recently entered Eventide in Jamestown.

He was a life member of the V.F.W., D.A.V. and the Eagles Club Aerie 2337.

He is survived by his wife DeLoris, Jamestown, ND; 2 step-children, Bonnie (Don) Nelson, and Geneva Kaiser, all of Jamestown, ND, 2 grandchildren, Chris and Savanna, and 1 great grandchild, Brianna.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.

Funeral Service - 2:00PM Thursday May 27, 2016 in G.L. Riffe Memorial Chapel (Eventide Chapel) in Jamestown, ND with Hospice Chaplain Kathleen Heller, officiating

Interment - 10:00 AM Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at Mandan, ND

Visitation: 9-12 at the Funeral home and one hour before services

In Lieu of flowers the family prefers Memorials to JRMC Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
