Delbert A Henke

Delbert A. Henke, 70, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo, ND.

Delbert was born on May 16, 1946 at Jamestown, ND the son of Fred and Olga (Kleinknecht) Henke. He attended grade school in Streeter, ND and graduated from Streeter High School in 1964. He later attended NDSCS in Wahpeton where he received his degree in Machining and Welding.

Delbert was employed with the Iron Workers Local 512 for 18 years and then at Dura-tech as a welder for 8 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #995 and Iron Workers in St. Paul, MN. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and especially his garden.

He is survived by his children, 1 son Robert (Natalie) Henke, Fargo, ND, and 2 daughters, Debbie Thurston, Groton, SD, and Trisha Merkel, Aberdeen, SD, 3 brothers Art, Wilfred and Melvin and 8 grandchildren, Kaedin, Annie, Mitchel, Riley, Emilie, Drew, Tanner, and Landon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
