Clarence Kleven, 94, Medina, ND died Friday evening November 17, 2006 at his home in Medina, ND.

Clarence Kleven was born August 25, 1912 near Medina, ND, the son of Ole and Ida (Judin) Kleven. He attended the local rural school in Peterson Township where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood in the vicinity. He later worked for area farmers.

He and Hazel Robinson were married November 25, 1939 at Windsor, ND. They made their home on the former Day Farm where they farmed until 1979 when they retired and moved into Medina.

He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Medina, a member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Farmers Union, served on the St. Paul's Township Board, and received the Stutsman County Soil Conservation Award in 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, Medina, ND, 4 children,
James (Eloise) Kleven, John (Judy) Kleven, Tom (Connie) Kleven, all of Medina, ND, Janice (Duane) Mack, Pettibone, ND, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Mabel "Scotty" Kenny, Anacortes, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday November 22, 2006 at the St. Mathias Catholic Church, in Windsor, ND with Father Jerome Hunkler, officiating.

The interment will be made in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Medina, ND.

Visitation - 9:00 - 5:00 Monday & 9:00 - 9:00 Tuesday @ the funeral home
Prayer Service - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday @ the funeral home
