Christian 'Christ' Suko of West Fargo, North Dakota

Christ Suko, 93, West Fargo, ND formerly of the Jamestown community died Sunday June 11, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Christ Suko was born April 22, 1924 at Alfred, ND the son of Nathaniel Suko and Fredricka (Entzminger) Suko. He attended the local school #1 in Sharlow Township and grew to manhood in the vicinity where he helped on the family farm.

He was inducted into the US Army of March 20, 1945 at Ft. Snelling, MN and was discharged December 6, 1945 at Camp McCoy, WI with the rank of PVT.

He and Vera Grace Flaig where married June 23, 1946 at the Congregational Church in Alfred, ND. They made their home on a farm NE of Alfred, ND. In 1966 they moved from the farm to Jamestown. Christ transitioned from being a farmer to working at the dairy barn for the ND State Hospital. Later he became a salesman for the local Coast to Coast store. He worked a short time for Dakota Bake and Serve before going back to the ND State Hospital as a maintenance man until he retired. They moved to West Fargo where they have currently resided.

He is survived by his wife Vera, West Fargo, ND; 2 daughters, Linda Martz, Brooklyn Park, MN; Sandra (Ted) Sott, Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren, Stacy (Kurt) Hendrickson, Gina (Matt) Koenig, Melissa Martz, Niccole Sott and TJ Sott; 1 sister, Marie Schock, Jamestown, ND

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Tavolt, Dan, Emmanuel; 1 sister, Alvina and 1 son-in-law, Mike Martz.

Funeral services - 10:30 AM Thursday June 15, 2017, at Flame of Faith Methodist Church in West Fargo, ND

Burial - 3:00 PM Thursday Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND

Visitation will be at the church 1 hour before the service
