Irene Buckmiller

Irene Frieda (Veil) Buckmiller, 71, Devils Lake, ND and formerly of Rugby, ND went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2017.

Irene was born on April 30, 1945 to Frieda and Adolph Veil Southeast of Streeter, ND. She graduated from Streeter High School in 1963 and attended Christie Bernel Hair Styling College in Bismarck, ND.

Irene married Don Buckmiller on June 25th 1967 and they were blessed with three children.

Irene worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses in Rugby. Irene loved to have fun and was always eager to go play bingo or visit casinos in the area.

She is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband Don, daughter Melissa (Gene) Burkhard and their sons Brady & Toby, Devils Lake, ND; 2 sons, Kurt and his daughter Jillian and son Wyatt, Colorado Springs, CO; Todd, Fargo, ND; mother Frieda, Streeter, ND; 4 brothers Lloyd (Arlene), Streeter, ND, Randy (Karren), Burnsville, MN, Jerome (JoDell), Jamestown, ND and Jeffrey (Lavon), Jamestown, ND.

Irene was preceded in death by a very special granddaughter, Dawn Marie; brother Cordell; father Adolph; and in-laws, Wilbert and Shirley Buckmiller and Tillie Erickson.

Memorial Service – 2:00 PM Monday February 20, 2017, St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND

Prayer Service – 7:00 PM Sunday @ the funeral home in Jamestown

Burial – Lutheran Cemetery at Streeter, ND (in the Spring)
